Rumored items: blocked calls and anti-snatch lock
The only rumored “feature” so far is a notification when you approach the blocked-calls limit. A separate auto-lock if your iPhone is yanked from your hands is in development and might ship in 26.6, but beta 2 shows no sign of it yet.
Public vs developer beta install
Non-developers can join the Apple Beta Software Program and pick iOS Public Beta under Settings → General → Software Update → Beta Updates. Developers can use a free account via the Apple Developer app. Step lists are in the snapshot above; the beta toggle may take a moment to appear after enrolling.
Should you install on your main phone?
- Expect maintenance — 26.6 is not a feature release.
- Beta risk — battery, banking apps, CarPlay, and backups can break; wait for the public release on a primary device.
- Who it's for — developers, press, and testers validating security or regressions.
- Ecosystem — iPadOS, watchOS, and macOS 26.6 betas typically ship in parallel.
